Today I was leaving Village Inn with my son and my niece when she stopped in her tracks and gasped, “Is that SANTA?”
I told my sister the whole story and she sent me a link to a story just now about you in the ISU faculty newspaper (she works in the department that writes it). And it was definitely you.
Thank you so much for taking time to hand them both cards and give your vacation explanation. When I dropped them off and headed to work, they were still breathless, talking about seeing you. I think the words “cool” and “awesome” came up at least thirty times. They also came to the conclusion on their own that you may be checking up on them since you’re here in Ames today, so I can’t deny I’m excited to use that tonight if I need to. Ha.
